Immigration

Our team of immigration solicitors and caseworkers can offer you an expert service and advice on a range of immigration, nationality and asylum matters. We have the expertise and knowledge to deal with your immigration matter and guide you through what can sometimes be a very stressful time in your life.

All our Immigration team members are registered with the Law Society and we aim to provide a high quality service, which is professional and confidential. Both Kevin Scott and Harleena Basi-Johal are Senior Caseworkers under the Law Society Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme and the firm is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA) and the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI).

Fixed Fee Consultation - £150 (+ VAT if applicable)

We offer an initial or a one-off consultation where you can discuss your case with us and we advise you on the strengths and weaknesses of your case and possible strategic ways forward. When you contact us, please be ready to tell us:

  • your country of origin and present nationality
  • how long you have been in the UK
  • your present immigration status
  • any family in the country and their immigration status
  • your name, address and telephone number

Once you have made an appointment please bring your immigration documents and any letters you have received from the Home Office.

After the appointment we will send you a letter with well researched information and expert advice to help you make a measured decision with regards to what steps to take and what visa application to pursue.

You can then decide if you want us to represent you and help take things further, at which point we will discuss costs and other arrangements.

Pickup & Scott can act for clients who qualify for public funding. For more details of eligibility please see our Legal Aid page.
