Here at Pickup and Scott we are committed to supporting our local charities. Therefore to encourage more people to leave a gift in their Will to a local charity we introduced our Charity Will Scheme.
Under this Scheme we give a discount of one third off the price of your Will If you leave a legacy to a local charity.

We have therefore selected 18 charities that are either based in the local area or have local branches devoted to supporting the community:

Action 4 Youth
Provides advice, guidance and training in all aspects of setting up and running voluntary youth clubs within Bucks and Milton Keynes. These clubs help young people in their physical, personal and social development to realise their full potential as members of the community.
Youth Focus and Action4Youth have merged to create a single charitable organisation known as Action4Youth, dedicated to the support and advancement of voluntary and community organisations for children and young people
Age UK Buckinghamshire
Age UK Buckinghamshire is an independent local charity that works with and for older people. Their aim is to help older people in Bucks to lead lives as happy, active and as fulfilled as possible by providing services which support them.
Alzheimer’s Society – Aylesbury & Bucks Branch
They provide help and information to people affected by dementia in our local community, including details of day care and home care for people with dementia, as well as support and befriending services to help partners and families cope with the demands of caring

Animals at Risk Shelter
Provides a re-housing service for unwanted animals and a shelter for those unsuitable for re-housing. Currently they are setting up a new clinic to provide low cost veterinary services.
The Ann Conroy Trust
This is the only organisation in the UK providing educational material about Syringomyelia. It funds vital research work and provides a national helpline and support network which includes qualified support counsellors for sufferers and their carers.

Aylesbury Vale Advocates
Provides a free service offering communication skills on behalf of adults with learning disabilities, mental illness or other communication difficulties.
Buckinghamshire Community Foundation
The local experts in supporting and funding more than 800 Buckinghamshire community development groups, including children, older people, sports, health and education activities. The Foundation has a small team of outreach/grants officers so they’re also able to monitor and evaluate regularly all grants that they make. Admin costs are less that 14% of total expenditure.
BucksVision
The only local charity that provides a comprehensive support network to help achieve independent living and social inclusion for all people with serious sight loss in Bucks and Milton Keynes.
Carers Bucks
Works in partnership with family Carers to support them in their caring role by providing information, advice, advocacy and emotional support.

Chiltern Dog Rescue Society
Rescue unwanted and homeless dogs and to provide accommodation until such time as permanent homes can be found.

Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity
Providing symptom control and end of life care in the Hospice or at home to patients and their families in Aylesbury and the surrounding villages.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People
Hearing dogs change lives. They alert their deaf owners to sounds we take for granted, providing greater independence, confidence and security.
Helen & Douglas House
Provide respite and end of life care for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions, as well as support and friendship for the whole family.
The Hospice of St Francis (Berkhamsted) Ltd
Provides free palliative care for people with terminal illness, their families and friends in the North West Herts and Chiltern area of Bucks. Their services include inpatient beds, specialist home care nurses, a day care hospice and bereavement services.
The Lymphoma Association
Is the only specialist UK charity that provides accurate medical information and support to lymphatic cancer patients, their families, friends and carers.
The Pace Centre
At PACE children with physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy find their own voice, walk their own steps and discover that they can fully enjoy everyday life and become active members of society.
Peace Hospice
Provides inpatient care, day care, an outpatient service, a hospice at home service as well as bereavement support. They need to raise £3m a year so that all the care provided to its patients and their families is free.

Tiggywinkles, The Wildlife Hospital Trust, is a specialist hospital dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating all species of British wildlife.
